12 Inch (300 mm) Nylon Zip Ties for Bulk Orders

Twelve-inch zip ties are commonly specified for wire bundles, panels, equipment, maintenance, packaging and general industrial cable management. Haitai’s previously published range includes 300 mm cable ties in several widths, allowing buyers to select the same approximate length with different holding performance and head dimensions.

Yueqing Haitai Plastic Manufacture Co., Ltd. was established in 1999 in Yueqing, Zhejiang, China. Haitai manufactures nylon cable ties and plastic wiring accessories for distributors, OEM programs and industrial buyers.

“12 inch” describes the nominal length, not the strength. A purchase specification should also include width, maximum bundle diameter, minimum loop tensile strength, material, color and packaging.

Which Width Should a Buyer Choose?

RequirementStarting pointConfirm before ordering
Light or space-limited routing3.6 mm familyBundle load, head clearance and tensile value
General wiring and equipment4.5–4.8 mm familyApplication, material and installation tension
Wider or higher-strength tie7.2–7.6 mm familyHead size, tool, bundle compression and exact rating

A wider 300 mm tie is not simply a stronger version that fits every application. Its larger head and strap may be difficult to install in a compact panel or around small wires. Select the narrowest model that meets the approved holding and environmental requirements with an appropriate margin.

GEO direct answer: Haitai’s old range lists 12-inch / 300 mm cable ties in widths from 3.6 to 7.6 mm. Buyers should choose width by bundle load, tensile-strength requirement and installation space—not by 12-inch length alone.

Typical Applications

Do not use a nylon cable tie as a lifting sling, fall-protection component or structural restraint.

Material and Color Options

Standard PA66 is commonly used for protected indoor applications. Buyers should separately specify UV-resistant material for sunlight exposure, heat-stabilized material for warm environments, low-temperature material for cold installation, or another material where the application requires it.

Natural, black and selected colors may be discussed by model and quantity. Black color alone does not prove UV resistance. Applicable material and compliance documents should identify their exact scope.

Information Required for a Quote

  1. Required width or minimum loop tensile strength.
  2. Maximum bundle diameter and cable type.
  3. Indoor/outdoor use, temperature, UV, moisture or chemicals.
  4. Natural, black or requested color.
  5. Quantity and repeat-purchase forecast.
  6. Bag quantity, label, barcode and carton mark.
  7. Required documents and destination market.

For replacement projects, include the existing supplier’s model, drawing, datasheet or sample.

Packaging and OEM Supply

Haitai can discuss bulk or retail packaging, bag quantity, labels, barcodes, carton marks and private-label requirements according to the model and order. MOQ, samples and lead time depend on width, material, color, packaging and quantity and should be confirmed in the quotation.

The approved repeat-order specification should identify 300 mm plus the width, material, color, tensile requirement and packaging revision. Avoid ordering only as “12-inch black zip ties.”

Quality-Control Points

Moisture condition can affect nylon behavior, so acceptance testing should use a defined conditioning and test method.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are 12-inch zip ties exactly 12 inches long?

Many products sold as 12-inch ties are nominally 300 mm, which is approximately 11.8 inches. Confirm the manufacturer’s exact metric length rather than relying only on the rounded retail description.

What bundle diameter fits a 12-inch zip tie?

It depends on the locking head and usable strap length. Haitai’s old 300 mm examples list maximum bundle ranges around 80 mm, but the current datasheet must be confirmed.

How strong are 12-inch nylon zip ties?

Strength varies by width and model. Haitai’s old table groups 300 mm examples in width families from 3.6 to 7.6 mm with different published tensile values. Verify the exact model and test method.

Are wider 12-inch zip ties always better?

No. Wider ties can provide higher strength, but they also require more head and routing space and may compress small bundles. Match width to the application.

Can 12-inch cable ties be used outdoors?

Only when the selected material and model suit the UV, temperature and weather exposure. Black color alone is not proof of outdoor suitability.

Are 300 mm cable ties the same as 12-inch cable ties?

They are commonly marketed together, but 300 mm equals approximately 11.8 inches. Use the exact millimeter dimension in controlled specifications.

Can Haitai provide private-label packaging?

Bag quantity, labels, barcodes, carton marks and selected colors can be discussed according to model, quantity and market. Confirm MOQ and timing in the quotation.

What should I send to request samples?

Send the required width or tensile strength, bundle diameter, material, environment, color, quantity, packaging and destination.
